Business Pigeon Control Services in Las Vegas, NV, & Surrounding Areas

Our Impact on Businesses

Pigeon Pros successfully addressed the needs of over 500 commercial properties in Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin, and Green Valley. These properties include casinos, banks, schools, restaurants, gas station canopies, billboards, parking garages, shopping malls, warehouses, and cell towers. Most commercial properties are advised to begin addressing their pigeon control or pigeon removal needs by first eliminating food sources from the property. Reducing the food supply has been proven to reduce the number of nesting pigeons. This can be done by garbage control from trash left in and around dumpsters. Ensure your tenants seal all trash bags and close lid doors on the dumpsters. Remove food sources that reoccur each season, such as pyracantha bushes or olive trees. If removing isn't an option, a professional tree trimming company can spray a chemical-hormonal fruit eliminator, which should be done annually.

Our Commercial Clients Include:

Once the food sources are eliminated, most commercial properties are advised to address their pigeon control needs with a trapping program. Removing pigeons from a large commercial building is more challenging than addressing a smaller residential property. Mass nesting is common as pigeons are a community flocking bird; dozens, sometimes hundreds, will often share one building. Trapping is the most effective way of removing nesting flocks of pigeons. Once the pigeons are removed, we can work with the customer to decide if they want to remove the pigeons on an annual basis or install one of our many more permanent preventive measures. Such as spikes, screening, or bird netting, as costs for our methods may vary considerably.

Before the permanent methods can be installed, we recommend a biohazard cleaning or Pigeon Cleanup. Roof drains can become clogged with nesting materials or feces, causing highly hazardous conditions for occupants of a building during heavy rainstorms. When drains are clogged, there is always a potential for the roof to collapse. Roof leaks and pigeons go hand in hand as pigeon droppings filled with urea are highly acidic, causing damage to the paper underlayment. Pigeon droppings can also permanently stain the tile on the roof, creating a bullseye for new pigeons flying over the property. The staining can also happen to the stucco causing an unsightly first impression for customers. Physical damage to air conditioning units is one of the main concerns for our clients. Nesting materials, feathers, and feces can get sucked into the air intake coils causing the unit to become inefficient and eventually lead to mechanical failure. The other common concern for AC units is the air being pumped into the building itself may pose a health risk to occupants. Pigeons are known to carry over 60 diseases, and some can be transported into the air. Three hazardous human diseases associated with pigeon droppings are histoplasmosis, cryptococcosis, and psittacosis. Those with compromised immune systems, the elderly, or infants are generally more at risk for these airborne diseases.

Commercial properties also risk a potential slip and fall lawsuit because wet pigeon feces are incredibly slippery.

Don't hesitate to contact us today, and we can devise a plan to help rid your property of pigeons.
