A better way of getting rid of pigeons by pigeon removal

Aug 28, 2017

Getting rid of pigeons can be very difficult because pigeons breed very rapidly and their numbers are determined by how much food is available to them. So if more food is provided they will breed more often. Some pigeon control companies use pigeon poison to help eliminate flocks of pigeons. When pigeons are poisoned the surviving pigeons will not leave the area. A successful pigeon poisoning program will only poison 50% of a flock which means the survivors are left with more food per bird for them. This can encourage more breeding and also attract pigeons from outside areas to that area. Pigeon control companies that use poison usually will offer monthly or quarterly programs which means the pigeons will always have a steady food source. The use of pigeon poison has been proven to be highly ineffective in the long term, especially after repeated use and once pigeons realize that a food source is tainted and their family members are dying after eating it.

A better and more successful way of getting rid of pigeons is by introducing a new food source on the roof and trapping and physically removing an entire flock of pigeons. Successful pigeon removal also requires helping our customers completely eliminate food sources such as dog food or bird feeders in the future. Pigeon trapping programs can usually be completed in 30-45 days. Once the program is completed the trap and food source is removed from the roof which makes it less inviting for new pigeons to want to nest in that area again.
